Challenge Accepted

With in-person tournaments and events shut down due to COVID-19, the esports group at Capcom were concerned they would not be able to move forward with their planned “master class” sessions for their community of passionate Street Fighter fans. Capcom turned to GPJ to help them bring the concept to life in a virtual environment.

Winning the Game

With a limited budget in mind, GPJ helped to craft a four-part, online series focusing on helping players up-level their game. The Street Smarts series also delved into the business side of esports – from tournament organizing to commentating. In each episode, online personality Persia Hancock hosted a wide variety of legendary players, team owners and on-camera talent. Using a combination of pre-recorded segments, live panels and interaction with a virtual audience, the series was welcomed by the fans with glowing reviews, and has close to 50k views on Twitch and YouTube.
