We love our gaming community, and the gaming community loves the Capcom Resident Evil franchise. In fact, in March, 2020, the franchise celebrated its 25th anniversary. In that time, it’s evolved from a series of survival horror games to include board games, movies, toys and more.

Capcom had several Resident Evil announcements to make, announcements which normally would have brought the community together to connect, learn and play in person. Since that wasn’t possible, Capcom turned to GPJ to help spread the word in a series of virtual global showcases.

We got right to work, collaborating with Capcom to produce a series of programs; bringing together hosted segments, developer interviews, exclusive trailers & demos and a motion graphics package to tie it all together. GPJ streamed the showcase as a simultaneous world premiere across Capcom’s global YouTube and Facebook channels, as well as Twitch, Twitter and Steam in the United States. The result was over 185,000 concurrent viewers and 1.3 M total views.

With this type of engagement, Capcom is situated nicely for success with this new iteration, and can look forward to seeing old and new fans in person again soon. Game on!
